ABSTRACT
This study intends to ascertain the quality of teacher-students relationship influence on academic achievement of secondary school students in biology, the specific aspects of teacher-students relationship which contribute to higher academic achievement among secondary school students in biology, and the extent do variations in teacher-students relationship dynamics affects the performance of secondary school students academically in biology.
The data used for collection of the study is questionnaire. The study adopted simple random sampling technique using a sample of 100 students from 4 selected secondary schools, Mean and grand mean was used for data analysis. The population for this study consists of biology students in private and public secondary schools.
The researcher therefore, recommends that qualified teachers with excellent morals, that will foster positive relationships with their charges should be hired, school managements should supervise their teachers to see how they interact and associate with their students, Teachers seminars should be encouraged and the teachers should attend seminars at least once or twice a year to garner more knowledge and satisfy the need of their students.
