ABSTRACT
This research work was conducted, to know the yield, physical properties, and proximate composition of scent leaf of leaf meal and leaf protein concentrate using two milling methods (wet milling and dry milling). Proximate analysis was carried out on leaf meal and leaf protein concentrate, from the analysis conducted it was observed that crude protein of LPC was significantly higher than leaf meal. Leaf protein concentrate can be given to animal because it contains nutrients. It was observed that crude fibre of leaf meal was significantly higher than leaf protein concentrate, dry matter of leaf meal was higher than that of LPC. From the study. It was also observed that leaf protein concentrate of ether extract was also higher than leaf meal. From the analysis of yield carried out it was also observed that leaf meal yielded more value than wetmilled and dry-milled LPC. And scent leaf from when it was harvested to when the LPC was obtained have different colours and textures.
