ABSTRACT
The study investigated the relationship between workforce diversity management and organisational commitment of employees in banking industry in Benin City. The magnitudes of workforce diversity management examined include age diversity, gender diversity, and educational diversity. A cross-sectional survey research design was implemented for the work. The population of this study consists of all departmental heads/representatives selected Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) in Benin City. Six banks situated in Benin City were randomly nominated from a list of banks gotten from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Edo State chapter. Out of the one hundred and ninety-seven (197) copies of questionnaire administered, 167 were validly filled and used for the data analysis. Data collected through questionnaire administration were analyzed using frequency distribution, mean and correlation analysis. All analyses were done using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS version 24.0) software. The study found that diversity management in terms of age, gender and education had a positive and significant relationship with the organizational engagement of employees in banking industry in Benin City. The study recommends training diversity management to all employees at all levels of the bank to positively affect the overall engagement of all workers in the organization.
