Abstract

The main objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between Work Ethics And Discipline On Organisational Performance, with a focus on the employees at selected banking industry in Ekhewuan Road, Benin City, Edo State. The main objective was broken down into four objectives, that is ascertain the relationship between employee integrity and Organisational Performance, determine the relationship between employee's sense of responsibility on organisation performance, ascertain the extent to which employee's sense of team work influence organisational performance and assess the impact of employee punctuality and attendance on organisational performance. This study used a descriptive survey research design. With an indefinite population size, the study used random sampling technique and administered questionnaires to a population sample consisting of the employees of selected Guaranteed Trust banks industry in Ekhewuan Road, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. The study emphasizes crucial factors influencing organisational performance through employees work ethics and discipline. The study revealed that employee attributes such as integrity, sense of responsibility, teamwork, and punctuality significantly impact organizational performance. Integrity fosters trust and efficiency, while a strong sense of responsibility leads to ownership and productivity. Teamwork enhances innovation and cohesion, and punctuality ensures smooth workflows and timely task completion. In summary, promoting these qualities is essential for improving organizational performance.
