ABSTRACT

The project work reviewed some theoretical results useful for predicting well performance in the solution-gas-drive reservoirs. The model presented provides a basis for the use of some of the equations for estimating oil mobility as function of pressure as proposed by Fetkovich. We identify a parameter, v, that modifies the existing Vogel equation as depending on mobility of oil as function of pressure and saturation.

Thus, the results render IPR curve more pertinent for well-performance analysis at future average reservoir pressure. Thus, the results and methods for analyzing isochronal and flow after flow test for oil wells producing at and below the bubble point will have quadratic shape.

These results are important in their own right because they are useful for determining the well or reservoir flow rate at reduced bottom-hole flowing pressures and constant average reservoir pressure from pressure buildup data.
