ABSTRACT

Clove extract, derived from the Syzygium aromaticum plant, has been traditionally used for its medicinal properties. This study is aimed to comprehensively analyze the vitamin and mineral composition of clove extract and evaluate its in vitro antioxidant capacity. The presence of vitamins (such as vitamin C and vitamin E) and minerals (including potassium, manganese, and others) in the clove extract was determined using established analytical methods. Furthermore, the in vitro antioxidant capacity of the clove extract was assessed through various assays, including DPPH radical scavenging, ABTS assay, and FRAP assay. The results indicated substantial antioxidant activity, suggesting the potential of clove extract as a natural source of antioxidants. This research sheds light on the nutritional profile and antioxidant potential of clove extract, offering insights into its possible applications in functional foods, dietary supplements, and pharmaceutical formulations. Further exploration of the bioactive compounds and their health-promoting effects is warranted to fully understand the therapeutic implications of clove extract.
