ABSTRACT
This essay examines violence and insecurity in our country Nigeria. The damages and stagnancy it has caused the country and many key issues related to Nigeria’s violence and insecurity such as ethnic and religious conflicts, insurgency in the northeast, farmer- herder clashes, militancy in Niger Delta region, kidnappings and armed robberies, inter communal violence, banditry and cattle rustling and many more.
This work also shows the efforts and suggestions Obafemi Awolowo put in place to resolve and sort out most of the issues in Nigeria. The essay adopts self-suggested solutions to the current happenings in the country.
