ABSTRACT
African traditional medicine is a significant aspect of the continent's cultural heritage, embodying a unique set of values and principles that guide its practice. This research seeks to delve into the ethnophilosophical underpinnings of African traditional medicine and explore the values that inform its holistic approach to healing. Through a combination of ethnographic research and a review of existing literature, this study aims to illuminate the deep-rooted philosophical foundations of traditional medicine in Africa. By examining the values and beliefs that underpin traditional healing practices, this research will contribute to a broader understanding of the cultural significance of African traditional medicine and its enduring relevance in contemporary healthcare systems. Ultimately, this project aims to shed light on the value of African traditional medicine as a unique and effective form of healing that embodies the wisdom and ethos of African cultures.
