ABSTRACT

This paperwork argue that the introduction of Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing in Niger Delta region of Nigeria can help in reducing the data availability for research challenges facing Nigeria as an entity. The paper explains the concept of GIS and their application in inconsistencies as regards temperature data in Nigeria as well as creating awareness of the concept. A number of recommendations were offered towards promoting the use of GIS where we can help to identify and validate remotely sourced data sets and sensed data that suits Niger Delta region of Nigeria.
