ABSTRACT
This study examined the factors affecting utilization of healthcare services by women in Uzea Community, Esan North East Local Government Area. It scientifically assesses the factors affecting utilization of healthcare service facility in Uzea Community, Esan North East Local Government Area, the socioeconomic factors that influences utilization of healthcare service facility in Uzea Community, Esan North East Local Government Area, the impact the level/degree of utilization of healthcare services on women of Uzea Community, Esan North East Local Government Area and the Social work interventions that can be used to address the challenges of healthcare delivery services in Uzea Community, Esan North East Local Government Area. In order to adequately address the concerns of this work, Quantitative method of analysis was adopted. The study research instrument was a structured questionnaire which made simple percentage calculations and analysis achievable. Hence the study adopted the survey adopted the survey research design on the basis of which a structured questionnaire was administered to a sample of 318 participants from Uzea Community, Esan North East Local Government Area. The findings indicate that improving the accessibility and affordability of healthcare services, increasing awareness, and addressing socio-cultural beliefs can enhance healthcare facility utilization in the Uzea Community, individuals with higher educational awareness, stable employment, insurance coverage, and strong social support are more likely to utilize healthcare facilities effectively, healthcare service utilization is perceived as vital for improving maternal and child health outcomes in the Uzea Community, Esan North East Local Government Area and social work interventions, such as community outreach programs, empowerment programs, collaboration with other professionals, and policy changes, are effective in addressing the challenges of healthcare delivery services in Uzea Community, Esan North East Local Government Area.
