ABSTRACT
Theatre has successfully proven, over different eras, in different communities and through varying styles and modes, to be one of the most effective mediums of Conscientization and Propaganda. Through Creative and entertaining output, the Theatre has been a powerful tool force in shaping and reshaping communities. In Nigeria, from time immemorial till date, Theatrical performances have been utilised through different means to perform various purposes, particularly in the nature of education and Conscientization. In a Crisis such as this, Theatre Practitioners should be at the forefront of the Conscientization process, coming up with creative ways to positively influence their communities, eliminate apathy and educate them, through any medium available to the former. In the 21st Century, Digital technology has provided a wide range of easy and convenient alternatives, and is employed in varying levels by majority of the Populace ; in a Pandemic such as COVID-19 when there can't be an Audience, Theatre Practitioners should creatively employ Digital Mediums to reach their audiences, not just for the profit, but the betterment of their communities and Nation.
