ABSTRACT
Attendance management is a critical aspect of academic institutions, ensuring integrity and
accuracy in student records. Traditional methods such as examination passes and manual
sign-in sheets are prone to inaccuracies, proxy attendance, and administrative
inefficiencies. This project proposes an automated online class attendance and student
management system for UNIBEN, leveraging geofencing and Bluetooth beacon technology
to enhance accuracy and reduce human involvement. Using a prototyping methodology, the
system was designed and tested to ensure efficiency and scalability. The results
demonstrate that automation significantly improves attendance tracking, with future
enhancements like machine learning and offline support offering potential for further
optimization.
