ABSTRACT

Rapid growth of technology encourages businesses to incorporate innovative technology to improve their performance, particularly among millennial consumers (millennials and Gen-Zs). The millennial generation is characterized by their technical sophistication. Self-Service Technologies are one of the methods used by companies in the fast-food restaurant and quick service restaurants (QSRs) space. The self-ordering machine is a new addition to the company's operations solving major problems in the flow of ordering food and snacks such as longer wait times, staff inefficiency, etc. Customers will appreciate the convenience of being able to order menus and make payments on their own. The purpose of this study is to illustrate and show how the use of Self-Service Technology can be a useful tool in facilitating a seamless flow of making orders, payments and minimizing congestions and longer wait times, cashier errors and workload, etc in fast food restaurants and quick service restaurants (QSRs).
