The objectives of the study were to investigate the level of UNIBEN lecturers' exposure to zoom technology, find out the attitude of UNIBEN lecturer towards zoom technology in teaching, ascertain the benefits of using zoom technology in teaching amongst lecturers of UNIBEN and investigate the barriers towards the use of zoom technology amongst lecturers of UNIBEN. For its methodology, the survey research method was used to gather the data used for the study. Findings of the study revealed that lecturers in the University of Benin agreed that their knowledge of zoom technology has improved the more they use the technology. Findings also revealed that zoom technology is convenient for conducting lecturing and that it is easy to use when compared to other virtual communication tools. Based on the findings, the researcher concluded that management of tertiary institutions in Nigeria must provide a platform to train lecturers on the proper use of zoom, while embracing the use of the technology as aids to teaching and learning. The researcher therefore recommended among other things that management, government and relevant stakeholders must provide incentives to caution the effect of high cost of mobile data for lecturers. The researcher also recommended that lecturers in UNIBEN and other tertiary institutions need to be trained on virtual educational technologies and the integration of these tools into classroom teaching and learning.
