USE OF 2D GEOELECTRICAL IMAGING TO INVESTIGATING THE SUITABILITY OF THE SUBSURFACE GEOLOGICAL STRUCTURES IN UGBOGIOBO AND ENVIRON EDO STATE, NIGERIA

SUMMARY

2-D survey at Abudu, Orhionwmon Local Government Area of Edo State has been carried out successfully and this research has helped in providing information about the subsurface of the study area. This information is of utmost importance as it gives the necessary constituents of the profile of the study area. From the study we can infer that some likely minerals present in the part of Ekiugbo community surveyed as follows: limestone, manganite, marble and stibnite. The resistivity of the minerals encountered ranges from 315Ωm -228749Ωm, and their thickness ranges from 25-53m.
