SUMMARY

            This research work examined the quest of the United Nations to achieve a gendered international society through the instrumentality of the UN Women . This study was informed by the need to expand the frontiers of knowledge on the activities of the UN Women as an agency of the UNITED NATIONS. It was also triggered by the need to review the menace of feminism in domestic and international politics and reposition perspectives on feminism and gender equity in the content of the prevailins movement for gender equality. The United Nations adoption of the goal (5) of the sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) was what set the ball of the study rolling. The goal 5 of the SDG was centered on gender equality and the UN Women was formed as the United Nations instrument for achieving Gender parity.
