ABSTRACT
For preserving excellent health and preventing waterborne illnesses, access to clean, safe drinking water is crucial. However, access to water treatment facilities is a major problem for many rural areas in developing nations. These populations frequently rely on untreated or polluted water sources like ponds, rivers, or wells that might contain dangerous infections, chemicals, and contaminants. Consuming contaminated water has serious repercussions, especially for vulnerable groups including children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. These populations frequently experience high rates of morbidity and death due to the prevalence of waterborne illnesses such cholera, typhoid fever, dysentery, and diarrhea. When putting in place water treatment systems, rural towns have particular difficulties. It is challenging to implement and maintain conventional water treatment technology in these settlements due to a lack of infrastructure, lack of funding, and their remote location. These populations may not have sustainable access to clean drinking water due to the high expense of acquiring, running, and maintaining complicated treatment plants. Drinking water treatment facilities are used to eliminate contaminants and pathogens, safeguard public health, and provide clean drinking water to the environment, humans, and other living things. Additionally, they offer the communities they serve safe, drinking water as well as water that is pleasing to the senses of taste, sight, and smell. The act of purifying, clarifying, or softening water to make it more drinkable or useful is known as water treatment. One of the most crucial responsibilities of communities is to provide clean drinking water to 2 the general public. Water supply system design must adhere to engineering science principles and requires technical expertise as well as hands-on experience. Depending on the quality of the water entering the plant, different communities treat their water in different ways. Groundwater, for instance, needs less purification than water from lakes, rivers, and streams. The availability of water resources has recently occupied a significant place on the national agenda. One of the most significant problems in human history has been the provision of adequate water, both in terms of quantity and quality. The management of water losses is necessary for human life on earth in an environment where water resources are becoming more scarce and water demands are rising quickly.
