TRANSFORMATION FROM CARTESIAN COORDINATE SYSTEM TO CURVILINEAR COORDINATES SYSTEM

ABSTRACT

 Mathematicsis  frequently   discussed   in the  Cartesian   coordinate   term, but this system  has   its downfalls. for  most   case. it   does  not   conveniently represent the curved shape of the physical world.  Gauss saw the need  for seeraI coordinate systems that would allow one to explore  the properties  of the curved surfaces.  It was only then that the curve linear coordinate system was born.
