TRADITIONAL BURIAL RITE IN ISOKO

ABSTRACT

This work was specifically designed to examine traditional rite in Isoko land, Delta State of Nigeria. This work is on the Traditional burial rite among the Isoko people, The aim of the work was to ascertain the processes and type of burial right in Isoko Land. Historical and Empirical methods were employed in the research work, and it was revealed that in Isoko burial rite, the Christians are against some of the practices. Base on this founding’s this study recommends among many others that any burial that is performed should be done in a way that does not oppress people's religious beliefs.
