ABSTRACT
Having to convey your thoughts about the school system and the semester is one challenging task for university students. This is so because students are most times reluctant to provide honest feedback in a traditional setting due to fear of being maligned. This project is centered around solving this problem by using online systems that provide students with a more anonymous and comfortable way to provide feedback. These systems are more efficient and cost-effective, and can be used to collect feedback from a larger number of students. An added incentive for students to use this system is the portal that stores all the publications and projects done by lecturers in the Computer Engineering department. The aim of the study is to design and implement a system that allows for anonymous feedback collection from students. The methodology of this work re-establishes formal student-lecturer communication. It employs student responses to teaching methods as evaluation model for lecturer performance, while incentivizing lecturers to engage students in their research work and contributions to academia. Student feedback curated on the platform was moderated by the platform admin, especially as students were encouraged to give unfiltered feedback. On the lecturer side, publishing their publications would increase potential students who would focus on their niches in their thesis work.
