ABSTRACT
Tokenization of real-world assets has emerged as a transformative application of blockchain technology, offering an innovative way to represent tangible assets in digital form. Among various sectors, real estate stands out as one of the most promising areas for the adoption of tokenization. This study explores how tokenization can revolutionize the real estate industry by enhancing liquidity, increasing accessibility, and reducing barriers to investment. Traditional real estate transactions are often characterized by high entry costs, lengthy processes, and limited liquidity, making it challenging for many individuals to participate in the market. Tokenization addresses these issues by allowing real estate assets to be divided into smaller, tradable digital units on blockchain platforms. This enables fractional ownership, where investors can own and trade smaller portions of high-value properties. Moreover, blockchain technology ensures transparency, security, and immutability in transactions, reducing risks associated with fraud and improving trust among stakeholders. The study also examines the challenges associated with the implementation of tokenized real estate, such as regulatory compliance, technological infrastructure, and market adoption. Through case studies and industry insights, it highlights successful examples of real estate tokenization while addressing potential limitations.
