ABSTRACT

The investigated the level of primary school teachers’ frustration in public primary schools in Egor and Ovia North East Local Government Area. Two research questions and four null hypotheses were raised and formulated to guide the study. Descriptive survey research design was adopted by the study. The population consisted of all the 1,839 teachers in the twenty-eight public primary schools in Ovia North East and Egor Local Government Area. The sample for the study comprised forty (40) teachers representing 10% of the population of 1,839 teachers in Ovia North East and Egor Local Government. The study adopted the simple random sampling technique to randomly select 4 schools from the 28 public primary schools in Ovia North East and Egor Local Government which was 10% of the total population of schools. A structured questionnaire titled “Teachers’ Level Of Frustration Questionnaire (TLFQ) and "Things that Frustrate Primary School Teachers (TFPTQ) will be used for data collection for the study. The questionnaire contained (20) items questions. The instrument for data collection was validated by the researcher’s supervisor and two other experts in the Department of Educational Management, University of Benin, Benin- City. Their corrections and suggestions were incorporated into the final instrument. In order to establish the reliability of the instrument, Cronbach Alpha statistics was adopted for the study.
