The purpose of this study is to determine the subsurface resistivity distribution from a 2-D imaging survey and the lithology of the study area. This field work was carried out at the site for the new College of Education located at Abudu, Orhionmwon Local Government, Benin City, Edo State.
The wenner alpha array configuration was used survey and probe the earth’s subsurface to give information about the lateral changes in the resistivity of the subsurface. From these measurements the true resistivity of the subsurface was determined by the inversion of the measured apparent resistivity values using the computer inversion software (RES2DINV).
