ABSTRACT
The title of this study is “ The Study and Effects of Parental Involvement in Child Academic Performance “ This study study is designed to explain and show the effects that parents have when they show interest in their child's educational life.
The study used a descriptive survey research design and a sample of 320 people were used for the study. The instrument used for the study was a questionnaire . The research Instrument was validated by lecturers in the Department of Educational Foundation, University of Benin, Benin City, Edo Stare. Data analysis was done using tables and simple percentages.
The study contributed to knowledge because it provides data relating to the effects of parental involvement in a child's academic life.
