The study examines the Spatial Distribution of filling stations in Benin Metropolis. This study was carried out using both primary and secondary data, the use of Nearest Neighbour Analysis and the use of Geographical Information system (G.I.S). In all 128 questionnaires were administered in the four (4) Local Government Areas. The population is made up of all the filling stations in the Benin City. Respondents were either the Manager or the Supervisors in the filling station. All questionnaires were returned valid for analysis. The result shows that the Spatial Distribution of filling stations in Benin City is clustered and that filling stations in the City do not conform to the guidelines for the building of filling stations under the Department of Petroleum Resources. It was observed that most filling stations were located along the major arterial routes of the City. The study recommends the need for the sitting of filling stations to be in conformity with the guidelines of the Department of Petroleum Resources.
