Abstract

This study attempts to examine the Socio-Psychological Impact of Dysfunctional Work-life balance on Female Staff in University of Benin. The study adopted a qualitative approach. A total of 100 respondents were selected using simple random sampling, the research instrument was a Semi-structured questionnaire having both open and closed ended questions. Three research questions were raised in the course of this study. The finding reveals Dysfunctional Work-life balance is as a result of stress form work burn out. The study recommended that there is the need for the Federal Government to amend National Policy on the working conditions in favour of female staff (review of closing time) because of the multiple role women play in the society. Women should, as a matter of policy, take time to rest during the day to avoid over working.
