The study sought to examine the effects of rural-urban migration on community development in Utoka, Edo State of Nigeria. The study covered the opinions about the causes of rural-urban migration, effects on rural-urban migration on community mobilisation, effect of rural-urban migration on community participation, the impact of rural-urban migration on the extended family ties. In fact the study examine all aspect of impact on Utoka. The study has demonstrated that the increasing rate of rural-urban migration in Utoka is caused by poverty, economic and socio-political factors.
