This study was aimed at investigating the influence of social media on the reading habits of Mass Communication Students in UNIBEN in zero State. This is due to the fact that he wide spread of social media has influenced every aspect of man’s life including education and students who are the key players in the educational sector have taken hold of this invention to enhance their studies and to maintain relationship with others. Social media has influenced and transformed the learning system in a positive way. Students can now sit in the comfort of their homes and take online courses that will be beneficial to them. Social media has both its positive and negative influence on the lives of individuals, this is however subject to what the individual uses it for.
