ABSTRACT

In wrapping up our exploration into the gender dynamics concerning the involvement of Etsako women in community development and decision-making, we have delved into a complex tapestry of historical insights, evolving trends, and the challenges that have colored women's contributions to their community's growth. As we draw the curtains on this journey, it becomes abundantly clear that the participation of Etsako women in decision-making processes extends beyond a mere drive for inclusiveness; it stands as an integral component for holistic community advancement. Our investigation into the historical and socio-cultural context has unveiled the indispensable role that Etsako women have historically played in sustaining and nurturing their community. Through oral traditions and the enduring legacy of robust matriarchal influence, the essence of women's contributions in governance, economy, and culture has been vividly illustrated. Nevertheless, the shadows cast by colonialism and external forces obscured this prominence, necessitating a rekindling of acknowledgement.
