Abstract
This study accessed the role of TETFUND in the provision of infrastructural facilities for Business Education in Nigerian Universities in South- South. Four research questions were drafted to guide the study. In the process of carrying out this study, work of various scholars and authors were reviewed. A descriptive survey was adopted for study design. A total number of 109 subjects were used for this study, which comprise the entire 94 students of 400 level Business Education and 15 Business Education lecturers in the University of Benin. Structured questionnaire was used as research Instrument. The validity of the instrument was established by the project supervisor and two (2) other lecturers in the department. A reliability coefficient was used for the study which was gotten using Cranach alpha method. The data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation. A mean of 2.50 was used as a benchmark for accepting the responses to the items formulated under each research question. The study concluded that TETFUND has improved the quality of business education in Nigerian Universities in South-South in the areas of infrastructures, academic staff training, but in the area of providing equipment for Business Education, TETFUND activities has not been fully felt. Based on the findings from the study, the following recommendations were made; TETFUND should be encouraged in order to provide equipment for Business Education in Nigerian Universities in South-South. Adequate fund should be provided to enable TETFUND provide infrastructure for Nigerian Universities in South-South and TETFUND should enhance the training and re-training of academic staff in Business Education in Nigerian Universities in South-South for higher productivity.
