ABSTRACT

This research is intended to study and understand the issues and challenges of managing Rhythm FM radio so as to find ways to tackle those challenges with proffered solutions available. The study started by giving the background of the study which discussed about the mass media and its important role in the society. The study further talks about radio as an effective means of reaching a large number of audience as well as means of community development.1 It also talks about the digitization of radio and its capacity to integrate with various Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). Another issue discussed is management as an essential 49 activity in the society as well as organizations in which media organization is not an exception. For every organization to function properly, it has to be managed properly. It further talks about the brief history of Rhythm FM radio.
