ABSTRACT

 The study examined Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a change agent for Quality Education in Tertiary Institutions in Edo State. The purpose of the study is to examine the role of Information, Communication Technology as a change agent for quality education in Tertiary Institutions in Edo State. A descriptive survey research design was adopted in the study. The population for the study consists of A higher institutions in Edo State (University of Benin). The sample of the study consists of 250 students randomly selected from University of Benin.

A self-constructed questionnaire was the main instrument used for data collection. Three research questions were raised. Simple percentage, chi-square was employed to analyzed the research questions. The findings showed that ICT serve many role in ensuring a change in the quality of education in Edo State Tertiary Institutions, there are constraints to effective utilization of ICT as a change agent for quality education in Tertiary Institutions in Edo State, and there are solutions to the constraints of ineffective use of ICT as change agent for quality education in Edo State Tertiary Institutions.
