ABSTRACT
This study adopted the qualitative research method which allows the researcher to collect relevant data. It gathered samples of cyberbullying cases from various online platforms such as Facebook, X (Twitter) and WhatsApp. A total of thirty five(35) picture based text cases of cyberbullying utterances were collected and analysed based on the chosen theoretical framework(Speech Acts Theory), wh ich gives the reader a thorough analysis of the various ways humor is used in Cyberbullying discourse. The second chapter of this research paper contained ten(10) analysis of data. The chapter examined the use of humor as a tool for mitigation, exploring how individuals employ humor to soften the impact of cyberbullying utterances. The third chapter investigated how humor is used to provide entertainment within cyberbullying discourse, showing its capacity to evoke laughter among participants. Finally, the last chapter, which contained fifteen (15) analysis of data, looked into the phenomenon of humor for amplification, exploring how humor can be used to magnify the impact of cyberbullying utterances, intensifying the harm inflicted on the victims.
