ABSTRACT
This study examines the role of digital media on Nigeria's diplomatic practices between 2020- 2023. The study adopted primary, secondary and multidisciplinary methods, including government reports, policy documents, academic articles, newspaper, internet materials, journal, books and interview, the research examine the concept of digital diplomacy, the evolution of digital media and diplomacy in Nigeria, diplomatic strategies in Nigeria and the role of digital media in Nigeria’s diplomatic practices digital. The research also investigates how digital media has transformed Nigeria's public diplomacy, international relations, and foreign policy execution. The findings reveal that digital media has enhanced Nigeria's diplomatic reach, enabled real-time communication, and facilitated engagement with a broader audience. The research provides recommendations for leveraging digital media to enhance Nigeria's diplomatic practices, promote national interests, and strengthen its global presence, such as the Nigerian government has to come up with a well-defined plan that outlines the aims, objectives, and methods of using digital media in diplomatic operations, investments in digital infrastructure, such as cybersecurity systems, data centres, and highspeed internet, the government ought to offer training and capacity-building initiatives, using digital media for diplomatic purposes, exchange best practices, and confront shared issues, Nigeria should work with foreign allies, tech firms, and civil society organizations, and the government should provide regular monitoring and assessment opportunity.
