An in-depth analysis is conducted on the role of African women in diplomacy, with Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala serving as a focal point. Additionally, the research explores the significance of party politics as a primary avenue to political positions in many democracies. By examining the historical and contemporary involvement of women in Nigerian party politics, including figures such as Madam Tinubu of Lagos, Queen Amina of Zaria, Margaret Ekpo of Calabar, and Funmilayo Kuti, the study illuminates the evolving landscape of women's political engagement.

The findings suggest several key observations. Despite challenges, there is a growing momentum of activism, advocacy, and educational initiatives among women, complemented by positive government efforts to empower women politically and economically. This trend signals a promising future for women's political participation, necessitating stakeholders to prioritize women's protection, economic empowerment, and legislative reforms to accommodate their increasing involvement in political leadership. The notable achievements of women in Nigerian politics further underscore the potential for women to contribute significantly to political spheres.
