SUMMARY
The study focused on the growth and development of accounting profession in Nigeria. . The problem of scarcity of accounting personal and the dwindling image of accounting profession as well as poor attitudes of government of the profession prompted this study with the objectives of suggesting solution to the problem
Accounting may be summarily defined as a systematic means of writing and economic history and plans of an organization in both quantitative and financial manner to that fact can be revealed and property analyzing such fact for purpose of advising management.
The objective and scope of the study takes about the roles which account play in Nigeria and methods by which financial and economic data are collected, processed and summarized into fact reports.
