THE RESTORATION OF DEFAME ORPHANAGE IN SELECTED ORPHANAGES IN EGOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.

ABSTRACT

This study is to find out if there has been restoration in the defame orphanage in selected orphanages home in Egor Local Government Area. The specific objectives are to find out if orphanage home at Egor Local Government has benefited from governments initiative to assist orphanage, find out if orphanage home in Egor Local Government area has been able to reduce the level of lack of fund, staff shortage, emotional issues, lack of proper infrastructure through the government initiative, examine the level of restoration in the defame orphanage home in selected orphanages in Egor Local Government Area and to find out if there is need for government to initiate more comprehensive care programs to improve orphanage home in Egor Local Government Area A sample of 60 employee respondents were chosen with managers and supervisors from 3 orphanage home concerned in the study qualified to be a part of the respondents. Descriptive statistics were employed in analysing the demographics and behavioural characteristics of respondents. Crosstabulation analysis was used to test the hypotheses. Base on the analysis of the respondent, the study discovered that orphanage Home at Egor Local Government has benefited from governments initiative to assist orphanage, orphanage Home in Egor Local Government area has been able to reduce the level of lack of fund, staff shortage, emotional issues, lack of proper infrastructure through the government initiative, the level of restoration in the defame orphanage in selected orphanages in Egor Local Government Area has Increase, there is need for government to initiate more comprehensive care programs to improve home in Egor Local Government Area. The study therefore recommend that Nigeria government need to initiate more programmes to curb the issue of poverty, parental negligence and harmful traditional cultural practice. And also Nigeria government need to create more policy that will involve both private organization, religious body and individual to render assistance to the orphanage home
