SUMMARY

This research has examined the work environment, capacity building and employee productivity in NIMASA Lagos. In line with the research objectives, it was shown that NIMASA’s work environment lacks suitable and comfort. Despite their work overload, the right equipment are available, but are not in good condition. Despite the good relationship between the employees, it was shown that the unsuitable work environment in NIMASA as noted above has not aided the employees’ productivity, as it would have reduced their attitude to work, loyalty to the organization and increase employee absenteeism during the period of 2016 - 2020. This is because the results from these research also reiterates that these factors; work equipment and tools, office space setup, communication, relationship between employees, workload constitute a work environment and when these factors are in good state, they have positive impact on attitude, loyalty, reducing absenteeism and job satisfaction, which altogether improve productivity.
