THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOCIAL MEDIA USAGE AND THE STUDY HABITS

ABSTRACT

This study looked at the relationship between senior secondary school students' use of social media and their study habits in the Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. Five research questions were posed and three hypotheses were tested in order to direct the investigation. Among them are the following: 1. What study habits do senior secondary school students in Edo State's Oredo Local Government Area often display? 2. Which social media platforms are most often used by senior secondary school students in Edo State's Oredo Local Government Area? 3. How do senior secondary school students in Edo State's Oredo Local Government Area use of social media relate to their study habits? 4. How do senior secondary school students in Edo State's Oredo Local Government Area use of social media relate to their study habits depending on gender? 5. How do senior secondary school students in Edo State's Oredo Local Government Area use of social media relate to their study habits depending on age?
