ABSTRACT
This study examines the management of educational theatre in Nigerian universities, with a specific focus on the Unilag theatre. The methodology involved online interviews with 3 lecturers and 6 students. The findings reveal several challenges facing educational theatre management, including limited funding and resources, student workload and balance, and stakeholder collaboration. However, prospects for enhancing management include opportunities for collaboration, audience development, faculty development, and community engagement. The study concludes by recommending several strategies for enhancing the management of educational theatre in Nigeria, including the creation of a strategic plan, prioritization of stakeholder collaboration, expansion of programming, improvement of customer service, and investment in faculty development. These strategies, if implemented effectively, can help to ensure the continued success of the Unilag theatre and educational theatre in Nigerian universities more broadly.
