SUMMARY
The study seek to evaluate " The problem of Human resources management In Nigeria (NNPC) Edo state Benin city, easily recognized as the Most Important of the resources required for production of goods and services, are the key to rapids socio_ economic development and efficient service delivery. More Importantly , the work environment is absolutely dependent on human factor. Human input is a preconditions for proper operation and services. In the veiw of this, the objective of the study is to examine if workers ' promotion comes as at when due in Nigeria, Edo state (NNPC) to investigate if NNPC (Edo state) have a good practice of HR planning, to examine the problems of HRM in Edo state and lastly to proffer possible and long lasting solution to solving the problem of HRM in NNPC Edo state. The research design adopted for this study is survey research methodology which Involves the administering structured questioniare . The population of this study will comprise seven hundred and eighty(708) workers drawn from various departments in Edo state (ÑNPC ) , namely speakers house ( administration/Personnel management, works and Technical service, finance and supplies, legislative matters , library and archive, Research and statics , legal services, publication, information, protocols and Travel and manpower Development. In order to ascertain the problem of human resources management in NNPC(Edo state) , total of one hundred and ten staff (110) drawn from the twelve (12) departments in Edo state (NNPC) were slamped based on how Informative and experienced they were the problem facing HRM in the organization, but only ninety _ eighty (98) questioniare were retrieved and analysed . Simple random sampling technique was employed in selecting the sample size. Which is completely independent of the researcher and as such Ensure the quality of true representation of the population of the study . Collected raw data were edited for completeness and consistency .
