ABSTRACT
Storytelling has been part of the life of Nigerians and Radio drama is storytelling, it educates and entertains but what is the use of a radio drama if the language used in presenting it is complicated and the message it is trying to pass across cannot be understood by many. This study analyses three different pidgin radio dramas to show how pidgin has helped to communicate difficult issues in the simplest way possible. Through the survey, data (the radio plays) was collected from the online radio station " Land 4 West Africa" to properly analyze how pidginization makes storytelling or radio drama easily to communicate and how it made the stories or message more relatable. The finding suggest that why radio drama is popular with the people, people are slowing losing interest because of the complicated languages used in presenting it but with those radio drama presented in pidgin language it tends to resonate with the people. My recommendation is that Pidgin language should be used more by radio station in other to booze their audience and also pass their messages across properly.
