ABSTRACT
This study argues that Inequality emerged as a result of the shift from the state of nature to civil society. This led to discrimination and classism in the society, the underprivileged were at the receiving end of the consequences of this inequality. Thus, justice and freedom were restricted to only a particular few who had the power either because of their wealth or influence. The study states that in the bid to achieve his goals the civil society, man seek for freedom and justice. In others words, inequality means inequality must be jettisoned and all men equally to ensure the enthronement of democracy. Even though it may not in totality remove inequality, it nevertheless gives voice to the masses who are the recipient of the outcome of inequality in the state. In this way such that man is availded the option to enjoying the equally he is created with and for.
