ABSTRACT
This thesis investigates the nature of human rights especially as it pertains to that accorded to individuals who identify as member of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT). The interrelationship between man and its environment and its co relational behaviour with his fellow man, creates a room for the evaluation of human rights. Human rights which are identified as the basic inalienable rights, inherent to all human beings regardless of race, sex, nationality, ethnicity language, religion etc. Over the years, the debate on the morality of justifying giving some rights to members of LGBT have been on going between the nature versus nurture critics ,which equally results to a controversy of arguing for and against such ideologies. In a bid to synthesis between both fractions of arguments, we attempted a critical analysis of the both arguments and then provide a philosophical synthesis to adjudge the moral, ethical and legal implications of both arms.
