Summary
This study was center on the nature and degree of electoral violence in Nigeria: challenges and practical consequences on democracy, a case study of rivers state 2015 governorship. The study examines the concept, definitions and debates associated with democracy, election and electoral violence in Nigeria present democracy. Also for better analyses, questionnaires were issues to the general public and interviews were conducted with individuals and related groups who have a sound understanding of the electoral violence.
