ABSTRACT

From a sociological viewpoint after thorough review of literatures and granted interviews, the researcher has been able to examine the morality of dress code in Nigeria University: a case study of University of Benin. This research not only further interrogated the place of dress in delimiting the social boundaries of fashion as an index of power, identity, status, belief, value, or class, but also portrayed the influence of dress code on students’ character moulding as impactful in Nigerian universities.
