ABSTRACT
The protection of the rights of all human beings have been reechoed as the goal that all development oriented countries must pursue. In line with this goal, is the protection of the rights of the girl child, a groups considered seriously vulnerable to the problem of early marriage otherwise known as child marriage. The girl-child marriage is seen as a harmful traditional practice that prevent the girl-child from realizing her aspiration. Girls around the world strive to realize their aspirations in the face of discrimination, lack of educational opportunity and access to health services, threat of violence and the girl child phenomenon which is a violation of their human rights. Overcoming these obstacles is not just a question of good public policy and prosperous markets, but also depends on understanding the role of culture in violating the rights of the girl-child especially as it influences the girl-child marriage. This project is a critique of the girl’s right and child-marriage and it adopts the analytic method in order to achieve the desired goal.
