ABSTRACT
To sum up, this research focuses attention on the difficulties faced by non-native English speakers when using social media language, such as the excessive use of acronyms, irregular spellings, and syntax. The findings highlight how crucial it is to address these issues with clear instruction, engaging exercises, and exposure to real materials. ESL learners can advance their competency in standard English and, as a result, improve their communication abilities in both formal and social media situations by incorporating techniques for identifying and correcting nonstandard language elements. To overcome these challenges and guarantee successful language acquisition, ongoing assistance and practice are essential.
