ABSTRACT
This long essay has discussed the styles deployed by Odun Balogun in his short stories' collection; The Late Visitor and Other Stories, to showcase the themes of discrimination and alienation of black Immigrants in America and Europe. The experience of these Africans in diaspora is one that showcases the degrading state and position they are subjected to, regardless of their age, status, academic qualifications or professional achievements. These Africans are subjected to second-class citizens status and made to struggle daily because of their skin colours. Through a grammatical, figurative and graphological analysis of the text, a clear picture of what diaspora does to a Blackman is painted.
