ABSTRACT

Adansonia digitata, a member of the Malvaceae family, is a native African tree commonly referred to as the African Baobab. It is widely distributed across arid savannah regions in Madagascar, mainland Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and Australia, in Nigeria it is mostly found in the northern part of the. The leaves of this tree serve as a primary source of food and traditional medicine for numerous African populations, and they are consumed either fresh or in a dried form (Besco et al., 2007). Asthma is caused by a complex and incompletely understood environment and genetic interactions (Ho and Miller., 2008). These influence both its severity and its responsiveness to treatment (Borrell et al., 2007). Asthma can be attributable to atopy (Townshend et al 2007), but factors unrelated to atopy can also be important in the development of the disease, Lymphocytes are a critical component of the human immune system, serving as key players in the body's defense against pathogens and foreign substances. They are a type of white blood cell, or leukocyte, and they play a central role in orchestrating immune responses.
